Not as such, however I do need to speak with someone in a position of authority at the prison.

While there are quite a few assigned to running the prison, the one you wish to speak to is probably the Warden.

I do not know whether it is of sufficient importance to speak to the Warden himself.

I wish to inquire about the nature of someone's crime and the length of his sentence. Also, the requirements if one should wish to visit said prisoner.

Well, since he is the one in charge of the prison division Prince Charming would hopefully be the one who could answer all questions regarding it. There are other prison officials as well.

I'm from a different division entirely, but I'll answer what I can. The prison should be open to visitors as long as you announce your intention ahead of time and pass through the security checks on the island.
