I and my friend
arceydh , went to the festival at noon, around 11 am. It was already crowded, let alone the traffic jam on every streets near the university. This is the picture of the gate of Pasar Seni on the front street of ITB. it was a bridge made by bamboo with a weird shape. When i walked passed the gate, some people tried to climb and take pics on the bridge. At first i thought the bridge wasn’t sturdy enough to support 5 people in it, but i was wrong. Still, i’m not brave enough to climb it lol
On the street, there are many stands of artist, who come from anywhere around Indonesia - mostly from my town. Bandung-my town - is popular with art and creative people, and has many great artists imho :)
The paintings in this pic is made by Rahmat Jabaril. The paintings looks like made with wild scratch, but i thought the painting is cool XD
.
Oh, and this one is made by coconut shell and some other waste. The teeth reminds me to some dinosaurs XD
Car made from wires and plastic hung on the tree
This art piece caught my eyes when i walked on the street. The title is “Schizochronic”. There are flasks of Ringer Lactate united with threads, then there are bandages, pair of human legs, TV and many more. Maybe the title is an acronym for “Shizophrenia” and “chronic” XD I was reminded of the hospital where i’m doing my intern lol
Near Shizochronic, there are this paintings with funny drawings in it. We cackled so much when we see the pictures.
We took some photos on the drawing. Mine said “tilas tapi raos (tapi pedo)”i dont really understand what “tilas”meant at that time (it is sundanese), but raos means delicious LOL.. pedo... well it means pedophilia i think, hahaha.. then i searched on the internet when i got home, and i found that “tilas”means “used”. Ohmygawd “used but delicious” hahahahaha
Now this is Arceydh with her too-big-mustaches XD
After took some photos, we continued our walk to enter the university. The gate is filled with artificial-white-trees. When i examined the tree, it was made from plastic. Awesome d^3^b
Inside the university, there are 6 zone. The themes one with another is different. My favorite is “Wahana Sawah”, there are many traditional crafts in there, mostly related to farmer and rice field.
I don’t know what this is called, but i’m pretty sure this is pretty heavy to carry. I stopped walking when the parade passed, and one of this dolls playfully swayed its ‘hair’ to my face, hahaha
This is one of the most exciting thing i found in Wahana sawah. So this man was just begun to fly the kites when i arrived there. There are around 250 kites with the length of this kite is 250 metres! It was reaaaally beautiful when all of the kites fled to the sky.
Beside Wahana Sawah, there are another zone too, but i dont take too much pics. The walk alone is tiring, and it’s getting more crowded as it comes to afternoon. This is the pictures of one of the stage, i like the shape of “tiger” in it
In Wahana Alumni at Gallery Soemardja, there are many artwork made by the alumni of faculty of Art and design. We took some photos in here.
This is called “the Body Shops”. In the shelves, there are 3 parts of human body like artificial hands and many more, but i like “the Eyes”. It was a candle with eyes in it. It reminded me of MPD - Psycho manga J
“Happy Blind”, by Angga Yuniar.
Me and
arceydh getting narcisstic again lol
I like this paint so much!! Hmmm what is the style again? I really like every painting with drawing style like this :)
Around 3 pm, i went inside “Neraka Asoy Geboy”to watch live performance of Frau. I started to like her music since about 1 years ago. After Frau, there was Sarasvatī performing. I don’t really know about Sarasvatī , but i decided to watch her performance. Sarasvatī is vocalist of Homogenic - an electropop band - who pursue her solo carreer. at first i dont really pay attention, but her performance and songs i good i thought, and i started to like her. Days after, i downloaded her EP and becoming her new fans haha..
My friend, Dauz from Jakarta, went to Bandung just to watch Frau. This is the pic of me and him
After the music performance is over, i realize that i was already 6 pm. Because we were tired form walking and standing, we decided to call it a day. It was really a nice experience. 4 years ago, i also went to Pasar Seni, but i don’t really explore every part of it, and now that i went to almost every zone/place, it was really fun. Four years from now, definitely i’ll go to Pasar Seni again :))
