83 is the magic number

This will mean little or nothing to those not versed in Irish Politics..

The Progressive Democrat leader, Michael McDowell, who has lost his seat, has said he will resign from politics.

Mr McDowell conceded he could not close the gap with the Green Party Chairman, John Gormley, and said his career as a public representative was now over.

Mr Gormley was elected in Dublin South-East alongside Chris Andrews (FF), Lucinda Creighton (FG), and Ruairi Quinn (Labour).
Mr Gormley said he wished Mr McDowell and his family well for the future.

I had to screen capture it. Micky Mac you are the weakest link. You were beaten by GORMLEY! That was so satisfying to see the man you slandered and talked down to overtake you in the polls. What a way to resign from politics, Mary Harney made it in - but you didn't. the next government could well be a rainbow mix (though I won't hold my breath), the 'left wing government' might actually get in (No way!!) alongside them and you know what I'm just eternally satisfied my constituency had the sense to tell you that you're full of shit and that slander, smear campaigns and cat-calling is not how poltics should be.

And I love how the American panelist on RTE said that we have the most complicated election process ev4r but then had to eat his words and admit how it might be tedious but it's an incredibly fair system. I do like how our political system works but it's now almost 1am and I think I've thought about politics for too long!!!!

And on something completely different: POTC3 sucks. I will summarise it in 30 seconds for you tmor (maybe with bunnies or finger puppets pretending to be bunnies).
