*Ron paced across the bed chamber floor over and over again, considering a plan of action for catching Ernie in the act. He had finally come to the conclusion that Ernie was the victim of a Polyjuice potion. Harry had come rushing in, saying that Ernie was really some Death Eater, before he ran right back out again. At the moment, Ron was deciding where he could find Ernie's real body*
"I'd say he was in the broomshed, but there was an attack before the incident with Ginny..." Ron told Hermione that evening by the common room fire.
"Honestly Ronald, Ernie's body could be anywhere."
"Well what do you propose we do?" Ron scolded.
"Keep your temper down. Harry said he saw a Death Eater on the Mauraders Map, right?"
"I think that's what Harry blabbed."
"Then if the real Ernie is still somewhere in Hogwarts, he should show up on the map as well."
"Bloody hell I'm an idiot," Ron smacked his forehead and tightened his hold on Little Bill, nearly crushing him.
"Careful! Little Bill!"
"Sorry."
"So, if we're going to do this, we need the map. Where is Harry?"
"That's going to be a bit difficult. He yelled that he wasn't coming back until he found Ginny."
"Ginny!"
"What?" Ron held his hands to his ears. Hermione could be quite loud. "If Ernie's real body is on the map somewhere, then doesn't that mean that Ginny's is too?"
"Don't you think that Harry would have found her already if that were the case?"
"I guess so..." Ron's face drooped.
"The Mauraders Map is a map of Hogwarts school, Ron. It doesn't show who's in the Forbidden Forest!"
