major

i'm thinking of changing my major to psychology.

thing is, there are only a select few animal science classes left that actually interest me. if i stay with my current major, i will be in classes that are both incredibly hard and only tolerable. also, i have been thinking about this all year, and the more i think, the less appealing medicine seems. i just want to do shelter work and breed, and probably train as well. that doesn't require a vet degree (or a couple hundred thousand $$ and lots of heartache, stress, and years of chemistry and physics classes).

if i switch my major, i can take courses like 'developmental psychology' and 'animal behavior', really interesting stuff i can't take unless i am a psych major.
even if i change major, i can still get into vet school if i so choose by taking required courses at nassau or when i have a spare schedule time.
also, tons of ppl end up doing stuff in life that they didn't even study for in college. right now, this interests me, but i still want to do shelter work, breeding, and training. i dont think (at this very moment) that i will use psychology later in life, but at this point it interests me WAY more than the animal science classes that i will have to take (such as physiology x.x).

past that, i have no clue what i want to do with my life. my parents are ok with it, but my dad says he doesn't want me to 'sell myself short'. great confidence booster from the father. i have until the end of my sophomore year to change my major, then i'm stuck w/ whatever major i chose (my dad says not to think of it as 'being stuck', but w/e).

anyway, i'm seriously thinking about this, but i want input.
