You definitely have to do much of the active searching yourself.

You are living in New York now, right? You should go on Craigslist(.org) and go to the New York board. I usually go to the men seeking women section and go from there. The keyword search is generally very handy.

And hey, You get to practice turning people down. Its kind of a strangely rare opportunity.

no, not in new york ( ive been there on and off a lot lately). im in phoenix so its a liiiiittle harder since everyone here is horrible.

See, I'm not good with smaller town dynamics. I think things like reputations count more there. Where as, in a big city, you can pretty much do whatever or whomever you want with little repercussion if you aren't all about telling everyone your business.

Even then no one cares.

I don't know. Gotta bat those pretty ethnic eyes. :)
