so, I was trying to get a free Leatherman through freegiftworld.com. All I had to do was sign up for one offer and then i'd get it...
So, i said, "hell.. i'll go with this AOL MusicNet free 30 day trial thing".
bad idea.
Today, i realize that it may take "up to 60 days for offer completions to post to your account"... 60 days for them to say "well... you've earned the free gift!"
and, 60 days is 30 days longer than my 30 day trial... meaning i would have to pay money for a month of this shitty service.
Of course.. i decided to just get out of the thing. AOL completely sucks ass, so i had to call and talk to people that were reciting garbage to try to keep me on their service. I could have been mean. but that's not me. and that's not nice. they are just trying to do their shitty job that they probably don't get paid much for. so, i don't want to make them hate their lives more.
but, the woman i talked to sounded like she had chain-smoked for 50 years. sometimes i couldn't understand her. but, i got the god damn service canceled. so, that's good. i'm never going to do one of these "free gift*" things ever again.
