oh little town of bethlehem
christmas is coming. they're going to start playing christmas music at work and the tree is already up, so it's official. luckily for me, i have a detailed list of gifts i'm buying on budget, so at least that's taken care of. hopefully i can snag everything with my next paycheque and not have to worry about it anymore.
although that's sort of the least of my worries right about now. whoo! schedule update! i know everyone loves these.
friday: i work from 11-7 which doesn't leave me a lot of lee weigh for the other things i need to get done, like 2 research papers and my christmas shopping. although i think i can pick up a few items while i'm at metrotown. yay. staff appreciation day sure will help. :)
saturday: i have to somehow either get to my school library (although i have a feeling that's going to be put off until monday), or pick up the present that's the farthest away. i wish i could buy everything online and save myself a lot of trips. ha. alas, life isn't always that easy. but that's alright. if i can time everything right i could finish all of my shopping (mostly) today. but we'll see how that goes. i might put off the far away trip until next weekend, or the weekend after that. actually...that's not a bad idea....hmmm....brainstorming..... I also need to somehow get to the Holy Rosary Cathedral on Richards so that i can take pictures of it. I'm hoping they let me inside, otherwise i'll just have to snap the outside and use the pictures of their stained glass windows that they have on their website. :/ Not as good, but what can you do? MY BEST! That's what!!!!
sunday: i work 12-8. since i have to get up at 9am, catch the bus at 10:30, and i work until every store is closed, that's pretty much my whole day. although i'm thinking about staying at bryan's sunday night so thaaat....
monday: i can get up bright and early to hit up the library and finish writing my research paper on illuminated manuscripts. now i'm a little confused...because the paper was originally supposed to be due tuesday, but she didn't hand back our abstracts today, and said something about the paper being due thursday, which would really be a godsend, since the books i needed were out today, but were due back tomorrow (according to the website). i'm hoping that they'll actually be back when i'm there on monday, but that's sort of a fingers crossed scenario.
those are all of my days off, sadly. then it's back to school. i just want to get these last two papers handed in so that i can concentrate on my finals and then enjoy my time off without having to run around buying last minute christmas gifts as well.
phew!!!!
it's going to be a busy couple of weekends, since i have to make the most of all of the free time that i have at my disposal, but it'll be worth it. I AM A MACHINE!!!!! YES!!!!
