I've been in bed for the past... 4 days. I wouldn't say I've been sick in the physical way, but in the "something has mentally kicked my ass" way. I guess I'm still stressing about the whole Jeremy thing and with the constant questions of "is the wedding off?" after I've said "yes" about a thousand times.

I'm still pissed I actually bought the damn dress. That's almost $1000 of something that'll probably just sit in my closet for the rest of my life without being worn. I haven't even picked it up yet. I also can't forget that the place where the wedding/reception was going to be held is also paid in full and won't be used. No refunds either, wtf is up with that? It's bad enough when a wedding gets called off, but what about the people whose significant other has died or something?

Why is it so hard to give a refund? It's not like they'd be out of any more money than we gave them since we are paying for everything. There really wasn't a "Well since you're using us as your venue you get these perks." The only thing they do pay for are sodas on the day of the wedding. That's it.

Did I mention we put a $400 something deposit down on the cake (half of what it costs), something for the caterer, bought ALL the favors, got my sister her dress, and a bunch of other shit. The only things we didn't get done was finding a DJ, florist, and a decorating service (oh yes, we had to find and pay for a decorating service for the venue and it had to be part of the venue's preferred crowd) that would've cost an extra $600 if we got around to that.

This royally fucks me over for when I actually get married. My parents were the traditional type where they paid for the whole wedding. Think they're going to do it next time around after what they lost on this one? Nope. I definitely won't have the monies to do it the next time around... if there is ever a next time.
