My dog is quite ill, and I have tallied some hefty medical bills for her in just determining what's WRONG, much less how to FIX her. I've started a ChipIn to gather donations to help offset the cost of her care - while I recognize that she's mortal and could die, my fear is more than whatever wrong is fixable and worth fixing (i.e., not just a few months of treatment to slow the inevitable) and I won't be able to afford keeping her alive.
