haul
As per tradition (which was strangely skipped last year), my annual holiday lootage.
- My parents gave me a wad of cash. Thus far, I've used it to purchase a PS2, a memory card, a wireless controller, Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero 2 (since returned), and other sundries. It's a process.
- Laurel's family got me all 5 (FIVE!) seasons of Babylon 5. I think that means I'm their girlfriend, now.
- They also got me a little 5GB Seagate USB Flash Drive.
- Laurel got me a copy of Monsters Menace America, a boardgame where you play as Godzilla.
- She also got me a HeadBlade shaving kit, with razor, razor(s) and shave creams.
- Laurel and her sister, Sara, went in together and got me a custom-made Italian leather jacket. Sadly, my shoulders threatened to rip it apart if I buttoned it up, so it's being sent back and rebuilt.
- I got a giftcard or two and some cash.
- In my stocking (big in Laurel's family), I got some various African things - a leather key fob, a handspun wooden pen, a wooden tajine (hit Google), a little alarm clock shaped like an egg, and a handful of candy, ornaments and other odds-n-ends.
- Laurel got me a ceramic wizard polar bear ornament. It's awesome - there are pictures up on her Flickr. There are also pictures of me enjoying myself, which may come as a shock to some of you.
- (ON A SIDE NOTE - check out this photo. See my feet? Yeah, that's how I normally sit. Nobody ever believes me, but it's true!)
- I'm getting a package from my folks in the next few days, so I'm sure I'll get the ubiquitous nude girls of Hawaii calendar, a chocolate orange, something from my brothers and who knows what else.
- That's all I can really think of, though Laurel's parents also bent over backwards getting us into and out of Dulles to avoid the snow. They all but paid for our tickets, and dealt with the rescheduling/hassle of the return trip. Really, her parents rock.
Really, a good Xmas. I'm probably going to buy myself some nice winter boots (which, obviously, I wish I had last month), some new pants and socks, and possibly a laptop. Maybe something off my wishlist?
