been a while, eh?

i'd love to catch you up, but i think too much has happened over the past few weeks to do that all in one entry. sorry, i'm kind of a slacker.

~

so ashleigh came in to athens late friday night. before she arrived i'd been at a few timid parties and one terribly lame kegger; everyone was saving their energies and resources for saturday's halloween bash. with nothing going on, ashleigh and i walked uptown to grab some food, then went back to my house to drink some wine.

saturday afternoon, at dave/dave/fletch's: ben had bruises on his face from a fight the night before, lyon was building the rear half of his centaur costume, dewitt was trying to work out his 'hot-dog vendor' costume, nick was painted-every inch of him-black for his 'lil jon' costume, etc. we left to get our own costumes together. later, at rocky's: three fräuleins, amanda as a geriatric lady, mike as the suede indian cheif, dave as the centaur, matty as 'blondie' which made my own costume look like 'angel eyes', dewitt dropped the hot-dog stand and was walking around with the dildo sticking out of his pants, ashleigh as captain skanky mcscurvypants, rocky was a baby, dustin as a nasty biker, nate as hercules, jesse as a mad mountain woman, whoever that girl was as the wasted lady-bug, etc.

jason called, and ashleigh and i left rocky's to meet their car. mandy was trailor trash (track suit, smeared make-up, towel-stuffed pregnancy), mike took my ape mask, jason was... , and brian was a homeless war vet. before we left my house, jesse arrived as a new orleans looter. we all went to dave's where there were two kegs, which much excited mike, jason, mandy and jesse.

on the way, the reaction (three seperate times) to ashleigh and i: "oh look, it's a pirate. and a... lesbian." (i guess my fake mustache and my girl-pretty made me look like a girl trying to look like a guy?)

we waited around for tye before we went to the party uptown. i left to collect tye when he called, but when we got back, we were missing mike. we searched around a few times, but by about one, we decided to all go uptown anyway, leaving jesse behind (over a girl), since things would be winding down soon after. we finally found mike in the crowd, and he told us stories about topless girls and hot-dog stands.

after we went home, jason, brian and i went to pick up pizza for everyone. jesse finally stumbled back, completely smitten.

sunday morning, we all went to breakfast (mike, mandy and jason having missed their opportunity to go to amish country) at a chinese buffet.
