Leverage's ConCon
I know there are a few Leverage fans here in deadbrowalking, so I was just wondering if any of you have heard about the fan convention Devlin & Co. are planning for next year? Dean dropped a few hints a couple weeks back (via Twitter) about the possibility, and then this past Wednesday confirmed that the ConCon is on.
It's being held in Portland, OR, the weekend of March 19-21, 2010 at the Governor Hotel. So, are there any folks in deadbrowalking planning on attending?
I'm not crazy about the idea of a convention north of San Francisco before April, but I've had a rough year and this con would take place the weekend of my birthday. So I figure it will make a nice birthday gift to me. :-)
There's not a lot of info available yet, but, apparently, the organizers behind FedCon are doing most of the heavy lifting. And they've put up a splash page for the official con website here.
And one fan, Rikki Sixx, has created an unofficial fan message board. Yeah, it's slapdash, but I can't hate on her enthusiasm for wanting to be organized, given that the con is less than 6 months away. (Although, I could hate on her desire to put herself in the middle of something where she has no official authority. ::cough::) My bad. Homegirl is now official.

Hello, my name is Marc B. Lee. I will be one of the organizers in this along with support help from Rikki and a few others. I live outside of Orlando, Florida and have been in the convention business for about 20 years. We are MBL Entertainment and the fantastic FedCon GmbH Germany (not to be confused with "any other") who will need all of your help and suggestions on this event. We were approached about doing this approximately 2 weekends ago while I was still in Germany

Website being created. Prices set. We're pretty good at what we do but we're not perfect and will appreciate any advice and help from any of you as we can get. Volunteers will be needed as well as other things so please join us in making YOUR experience and experience to enjoy and remember.
