use it or lose it(apparently)
Lol I just got unfriended on someones LJ profile as I was writing them a response to one their posts. Guess thats a sign I really should de-lurk from the shadows and use my LJ more often. I read it every day as there are a number of people I only have a connection here with. But it's tricky to write about stuff when your life doesn't change much.
Most of my life right now revolves around my son and his development. I would like to say my social life takes a back seat to everything, but this year has been surprisingly active. Two parties, one social event and possibly a date this week! Its nice to think about getting back into the dating pool. I'm just amused that another Brittany has come into my life. I normally don't get the chance to date people with the same name and now 3 of them spring up. I'm sure its a generation thing as they are all 20-25 ish. I have yet to meet anyone over the age of 35 named Brittany.
I wonder if there is a name for a thing when parents lament/regret/wish for a do over the name they gave their childeren? I don't regret naming my son Draegen but recenlty I have met a few people with realy killer names that make me double thing my original decision. Theres this guy at QT named 'Talon'. It reminds me of Farscape.
