006 :: Where do we call home - A BSG song picspam
This is a picspam done both for scifiland's Big Bang as well as picspammy's "Illustrate a Song" challenge. I chose to illustrate the song Var hör vi hemma from my favourite musical, Kristina från Duvemåla. It's a musical about people emmigrating from Europe to the promised land across the great ocean, America. About their struggle. Absolutely amazing musical. This track is the second to last song and ipt's a powerful choir piece sung by the Minnesota settlers fleeing from the Sioux indians during the Dakota War of 1862.
The lyrics have been translated by me, not to fit the song and melody, but just as pure text so that you can understand why it goes with BSG. The song is gorgeous and to be honest it's not that easy to hear what they are singing even if you know Swedish xD
