Mary Kayos will kick your ass
So, my new band, Mary Kayos, had our first show on the 2nd where we opened for Seattle's GODS AMONG MEN and THE HOLLOWPOINTS
After the first band (Synthetic Discipline) got down with their mediocre hardcore/metal set, we were next to go on..
We rushed to get changed, an dhad a friend turn on all of our equipment to start the feedback, to draw the kids back inside..
We started our sample (stolen from the Young Ones.. "Michael and I are going to indulge in an all night orgy of sex and violence...sex and violence...sex and violence... sex and violence.." repeat for 2 minutes). We walked in from the back, pushing our way through the crowd, knocking people down, etc.. you know, keeping up the persona of tough broads..
We grabbed our guitars, and Maxinne Padd (dale) started his intro.. from the first note, kids went fucking apeshit. It was non-stop circle pit until we finished with our closer, Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation". They kids have now started a traditional dogpile for when we play, called the "Kayos Pile".. insane.. for our first show,I didn't expect that huge of a response... wonderful... We're planning on heading out for some 3 day weekend tours here and there... be on the lookout..
