No Longer Depressed
It is interesting to me that now every self-imposed agony has a label that gives itself an external focus to blame. S A D - what a sad waste of time to justify living lives in depression. We can go on attributing every emotion we experience to a temperature change, the intensity of a lightbulb, and etc., but it's ultimate our own thinking that forces us into a depression. I wish that there is never again an entry on this page from you with the statement, Current Mood: Depressed.
Every thought we have has an emotion that follows. When that emotion is particularly strong,- euphoria, depression, etc., only then do we become aware that we are even feeling individuals who experience emotions. Don't think about the depressing stuff too long. That thought makes you focus on the feeling of depression coming on, which makes you think of more depressing thoughts, which makes the feeling of depression intensify, etc. etc. Blah bla blah - we all know it leads to a depression. You might think of not thinking about depressing thoughts as escapist thinkings that make you into an intellectual slug (it's just the atmosphere of the page that made me think you would think so), but being depressed just skews the brain up to where more damage has been done to your intellect than if you did truly even "escape" a depressing thought and be an intellectual slug. Not telling you to listen to be a Ren or Stimpy listening to the words "happy happy joy joy!" being repeated inside your head; just thought I might give you some insight. Try depressionisachoice.com - that's not an address made by my sarcasm. It really does exist. Oh, and one more thing - good job with your page. It's "neat" enough to make the reader feel like an interaction is taking place while reading.
