Rammstein behaving badly, worst fanfiction ever and driving lessons

Jul 25, 2007 23:17

Been rather busy the past few days and avoiding lj for fear of Harry Potter leaks etc. I’ve got all that and Emilie Autumn still to write about, but, as is my way, it is going to end up being a mammoth post, taking altogether far too long to read and write, so, in the meantime, I’ll fill in with something shorter and more reader friendly.

Rammstein fans: Watch these videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X41mJH4T7EM
They are simply hilarious, particularly if you’ve ever seen ‘Men Behaving Baddly’. Someone sent me the links the other night and I laughed for ages. I also had major spazgasm, because a fair few bits were slashy. And oh, how I adore Schneider. Then, I found myself digging out my old archives and rediscovering my adoration for Rammslash - they were the first bandslash pairings I ever got into.

I was browsing Encyclopedia Dramatica, when I came across links to what is reportedly the worst fanfiction ever written: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2828044/1/My_Immortal
Feeling masochistic, I thought I’d have a look. I read it, all the way through. And laughed so hard, I cried. I’d have a look, it’s got a lot of chapters, but most of them aren’t that long, and don’t worry if you miss a bit, it doesn’t make an iota of sense either way. However, I see two possibilities. One, she is, in fact, a genius, parodying everything from Cannon to Mary-Sue’s and everything in-between. Or, she really is as atrocious as she seems and I should give up faith in fankind?

I’ve started driving lessons. Despite all my reservations, my mum booked me some lessons and they are actually going ok. I’m not too fond of them, but I haven’t killed anything yet and my instructor is very nice and patient with me.

I received a postcard from Siri from Ireland, which made me smile a lot

Rhys came back from America. I’d missed him oodles. It was so… quiet without him. He even brought me amazing presents - a Harry Potter pillowcase ‘So I can really sleep with Harry Potter’ *snerks*, a Snow White pen and keyring and a book called Gothic and Lolita, which is a lot like a fruits book, but a lot more focused on the gothic side. I stared at the people in there for hours. I wish I could wear outfits like they do over here… without getting killed!

The parents have been away in France for a week. It was a family holiday and I was supposed to go… but going would have meant missing Emilie Autumn and Harry Potter, so despite my mother’s begging, I stayed here. This meant becoming completely nocturnal. Ray and Rhys stayed over one night and drank. Rhys and I played Zombies. I did our make-up and we spent hours posing and taking photographs. We used all kinds of things for fake blood, including extra-thick jelly that had been in the freezer and the vinegar that had been used for pickling beetroots. It was ok if the jelly got in your mouth, but if you accidentally drank some vinegar, my GOD, did you know it >.< I’m really shocked we didn’t wake the entire neighborhood, giggling all night.

These were the results:

I love Zombie make-up. You can mess it up completely and it still looks fine.

I look so stupid, but it was so much fun!

I never realized how beautiful that gate was until I opened it for the first time in 10 years!

I LOVE how special we look in this photo!

The parents returned from France today. My mum brought me this amazing wrapping paper type stuff, covered with Snow White and the seven dwarves. I really love it but I have no idea what to do with it. She also got me a French Tokio Hotel fan magazine. I adore it, even though I can’t understand a word. But it’s a good 30 pages of non-stop Tokio Hotel, a fair few posters, 8 postcards and, best of all, on the last page is FANFICTION. This made me laugh so hard. My mum BOUGHT me fanfiction. Ok, so it’s hardly going to be hardcore Kaulitzcest… in fact it’s more likely to be som god-awful Mary Sue.. but it still amused the hell out of me. I might make some poor French speaking person translate it for me. Now I have the dilemma of the posters - do I keep them? Do I give them to people? Do I take down some and change it around? I'm pretty sure by the end of the summer I will have enough to have an ENTIRELY Tokio Hotel room... but do I really want to do that? Oh, there was also a free CD, which is the ‘Robots To Mars’ remix of ‘Spring Nicht’. I actually think it’s awful. In my opinion, it’s made Tokio Hotel sound chavvy, but it’s amused me nonetheless and I’ve uploaded it, so you can make up your own opinion.
