My little sister hates the Decemberists with the exception of the songs "The Bachelor and the Bride", "A Cautionary Song", and "The Chimbley Sweep". The poor child has no idea what she is missing.
Speaking of the Decemberists, I was reading an interview with Colin Meloy in which he used one of my favourite obscure words - penny dreadful. It's such a great word and the fact that he said it made me so happy that I stared at the computer screen for several minutes reading the sentence over and over. Now that I have just confessed this I realize how pathetically I live my life. Whatever. Colin Meloy, you have my undying respect and admiration.
