a bunny came to me.
we were jogging.
late night jog.
a bunny hops up.
i thought it was wild.
as a joke, one of us goes to pick it up.
it lets us.
The bunny is not wild.
It is light brown, almost beige, and scared out of its mind.
I mean it no harm.
We take it to find a cage. It sits on my lap in the crook of my arm and cuddles.
It licks my forearm and nuzzles in the crook of my elbow. it smells fresh and like warmth. this bunny is not wild.
We find it a cage, i go to let it hop into the cage.
It would rather be in my arms than on its own feet in an enclosure.
It claws at my clothing, and tries to cling to me. I tell it that it is ok, we are going to find it a permanent home.
My heart ached, i felt inadequate. I was unsure i could properly care for it until i found it a home.
It is fuzzy, and cuddly, and cute. It was nice to be able to express love.

i said i wasnt going to write anymore, but this was profound enough that i needed to express my thoughts somehow.
