So I was all super-excited to continue my
comic cartoon spree, after it tapered off after Static Shock and Batman Beyond, with the discovery of a new Iron Man cartoon.
Imagine my surprise when I watch an ad for it, only to discover that in it, Tony Stark is a High School student. High school!
I am disgusted and appalled.
Tony Stark is one of those heroes whose age should not be messed with. Spiderman? Doable. Most of the X-men? Doable. Even Superman, if you mess with the setting, is doable.
Captain America? No. Batman? No. Iron Man? No.
He's an alcoholic. That's his thing. He's a sleezy player who likes to gamble and drink.
Not appropriate for a High School student!
Grrrr.
Though there was the Mandarin. That was.... something?
Speaking of X-men, I saw the Wolverine movie the other day. As a movie, it was good. As a comic adaptation, it was not.
Gambit, Deadpool, Emma = Grrrrr.
In other news, I ordered the Tales of Symphonia 2 manga, along with volume 3 of Breath of Fire 4, and a Tales of Vesperia doujin collection. Along with the Grandia II doujin collection I have on the way, I think I'll have plenty to keep me busy once I get back from my parents place. <3
