Heyas!
So so far, I've had an amazing birthday week. First off, I received a call from Markus, the guy who runs the shelter that Laura works at. He asked me to come in for an interview on monday! Hooray!
So my birthday was thursday (thanks to all the people who sent their good wishes, also thanks to all the people who haven't, I still love ya). I received a package from my sis with a full body outline of herself with birthday wishes written around it... a little creepy at first, but I hung it up in the apartment and now I think it's really cute. She also apparently bought a year's subscription to Writer's Digest for me as a present... totally surprising, but very welcomed. Dad sent me a card with a very generous monetary present inside... he wanted to give me 21 dollars (for my age) but he thought he'd rather move the decimal over, adding a zero at the end. WOW. So yeah, I went out and got a bunch of movies ( Walk Hard, which I've been wanting to see for ages now, Super Bad, Toy Story 2, I know, I'm a dork, and Harold and Kumar escape from Guantanamo bay, why the hell not?) Then I went and got some new Terry Pratchett books (Sourcery, Interesting Times, so now I have the entire Rincewind story arc, Hogfather and The Art of Discworld, which I've had my eye on for some time now.) Then we made a stop on thrusday at the Game Preserve (to get The Good, The Bad and The Munchkin... hee hee) and then Laura took me out to The Trojan Horse for dinner.... oh it was so nice to order a pint of guiness to have with my meal.... I've missed drinking while eating soooo much!
So yeah, I spent most of friday reading and watching movies and now I'm really looking forward to Saturday... woo! Party! Yeah, not that many people are coming (don't worry if you can't it's all cool) but I'm sure we're going to have some fun. Dad is riding over from Columbus on his bike... Laura wants him to give her a ride on it when he gets here.... but yeah, so I'm thinking we'll head to the Irish Lion once everyone arrives and then after that, on to the bars! hooray!
