You may think this shit is funny, Devin, but it's not.

Pretend you were one of those "emo kids" you love to mock. And let's say you stumbled across a livejournal making fun of you and the lifestyle you choose to live.

It'd suck, wouldn't it?

And let's imagine you are feeling self-destructive, suicidal, and/or depressed. The last thing you need is someone making fun of you because of feelings you can't control.

This journal is probably the most offensive thing I've seen in a long, long time. And trust me, you've pissed off a lot more people than just me by your immaturity.

Honestly, if a livejournal convinces somebody to kill themselves, excellent. We don't want those people procreating.

This Livejournal is hilarious, shut up asshat.

I don't get why you MUST make fun of emotionally unstable people. In the big scheme of things, what good are you doing?

First off, we should be able to live in a society where anything can be satirized and joked about. Humor is the best escape from the sometimes ugly reality of life.

My thoughts on your emotionally unstable people:

The emo kids are just a generation of white people who feel guilty that they were born privileged, so they find things to be depressed about. Look at the position these people grow up in. For every anorexic out there who doesn't want to eat there are a million kids who CAN'T eat.

Look, having emotions is fine. We all feel like shit sometimes, but what pisses me off is when people let one particular emotion (Depression) define them. If these people would step back they'd realize they have a lot to be thankful for. They shouldn't be constantly trying to get attention by acting like their life is worse than ours.

There's a major, major difference between being satirical and demeaning.

And you did mention a key thing about emo kids... depression. Depression is a major emotional disorder that, try as you may, you can't get rid of just by "thinking happy thoughts." What good are you doing attacking people about emotions they can't help from having?

I agree with, um, the other anonymous guy. I mean seriously, emo behavior is ridiculous and meaningless. Should we encourage such behavior and say "Oh, it's perfectly okay and normal to be a mopey asswipe". NO! It's not perfectly okay and normal! It's self-indulgence! Jeebus.

We would like to sincerly apoligize to anyone we may have offended. "Emo" is a catastrophic epidemic that affects many of the people we know and tolerate, and it has terrible effects on popular music as well. We should not have made light of this epidemic, but rather suggested that it and anyone associated with it be wiped off the face of the earth. Also, we respectfully suggest you develop a sense of humor and stop taking yourselves so seriously. We would also like to thank you for proving our point. Oh, and we hope that the person who wrote the above comment is one of the ones we are apparently driving to suicide.

Please, if you would like more information about Emo and its effects on teenagers, contact the person nearest to you with taste in music.

Just one thing, by the above comment we meant the one that started this whole debate. Thought it needed to be clarified.
