My Summer
So far my summer has been very interesting.
I graduated and was having a party the saturday after.
But we had been getting a lot of rain recently, and the night before my party eight inches of rain came down [if I remember right].
I was awakened at seven in the morning being told the park my party was suppose to be at was flooded.
So we began to prepare for my party at the house.
My boyfriend calls me next to tell me his house is flooding.
The basement of his house was almost filled, which is where his room is.
Then we find out the whole area is in a state of emergency and nobody is suppose to leave their homes unless flooding or being evacuated!
So instead of feeding a bunch of my happy friends we fed distrought refugees all day.
I couldn't even get to the city for two days!
We were like an island!
So, needless to say, I had one of the most interesting graduation parties ever!
lol.
I soent some of my graduation money buying my bf clothes.
He had lost nearly everything and me, him, and my mom were suppose to go to disney in just a few days.
When we did leave for disney the rain was still coming down fervently so we had to leave the night before just to make sure we could make it to the airport.
[many roads were down at the time]
Once we got to disney our worries about the flood just melted away.
We had an amazing time!
We were at disney for four days, then we went to treasure island for three more.
At treasure island we went on this snorkling, shelling, dolphine watching trip.
It was so cool!
I found a lot of live sand-dollars and sea urchines.
Once the trip was over I was pretty relieved too though.
It's always nice to come home after being away for so long. ^_^
However, it was difficult to see how much damage had been caused by the floods.
Anyways, so now I am just at home.
I work one day a week and hang out with my friends the rest of the time.
I just found out my dorm roommate is one of my best friends!
So we have been buying stuff for our dorm as of late...
We move in on the 16th and I think later that night I am going to a Kid Rock concert!
I have only been to one other concert so I am excited.
Plus I am going with my bf and my brothers and a bunch of other family!
It should be interesting. ^__^
