Surviving in Space

While studying for midterms or writing papers, random questions pop into my head that I often end up pursuing before continuing with my work.

The most recent such question was: what happens to the human body when instantly exposed to outer space?

This has always been something I have pondered about, but also always kinda assumed that the body explodes when exposed to outer space due to the large change in pressure.

Not so.

According to this article you would die much more slowly. You could last minutes...although it would be pretty painful.
