24,865 iraqi civillians have died since the iraq war in march '03. Thats 34 a day. That's 0.1% of the entire population. Compare that to 93 British service personnel killed and 1,769 Americans in the same period. No figure has been put on Iraqi military casualties.
Nearly 10% are women, 10% are children (1 in 200 were under two). 70% of these deaths happened after bush decalred the war 'over'.
anyone still wondering why iraq has become a breeding ground for terrorists? (hint- IT WASN'T BEFORE). I'm not stupid enough to think that the iraq war is the sole reson we're getting blown up, but clearly the world is not safer because of the war (as bush & blair promised). And our leaders point-blank refusal to listen to our grievences has made a few angry people decide to do something about it, in the worst way possible.
the war wasn't in my name, but the consequences will continue to affect us all so long as our leaders continue to ignore us, and so long as we remain apathetic.
