State of the Grin: Working until the Universe reaches infinite entropy.
Yeah... I just saw how much money I got from working 16 hours of overtime. A LOT. And there's another check to come, with another 16 hours of overtime.
The reason for this overtime? A forecast of increased business at AT&T during the month of January, during which I am forced to work 6 days a week with the very real possibility of being fired for even being late.
So I have gone through this time with no way of using my shiny new vacation hours that I just accrued doing just about nothing, because that forecast was wrong. In short, LOTS of stress and boredom.
Fortunately, this period of bullshit is almost over and I can go back to 5 days of work, yay!
However, because of the large sum of money that I received during this, I'll be getting rid of more of my free time by working two hours of overtime every day. Until I get my credit card kicked back to zero.
Soo..... I won't be seeing anyone for a while. -_-
On the bright side, I'll finally be able to check some of my To-Do List objectives off.
Anyway, this was an FYI to those of you LJ people that I know that I don't see on a regular basis, and those of my friends that I haven't spoken to about this yet.
