this was so crash davis that my toes curled. love that flick, and love you for ficcing it! jensen is cracking me up with how vicious and physical his hate is. i also love that you've taken jared and made him a sort-of veteran in his own way; so many sports au's take one of them to be the clueless rookie. i appreciate jared's maturity and perspective; makes his thoughts about jensen a little more serious (and sexy).
