Greetings, new friends from the
sherlockbbc friending meme. My name is Christine, and welcome to my haven of slash, fangirl-y goodness and the absolute inanity over SHERLOCK/JOHN.
I'm probably the biggest Sherlock/John (or John/Sherlock, I have no preference, love both) slash fan you'll ever meet, I sure hope not though ;)
A little more about myself: I'm currently a senior in college majoring in psychology, if all goes well, I'll be graduating spring of 2011. After that I'm planning on moving to California or some big city on the west coast and enter the "real world." I'm definitely going back to school after a few years of working to get my MFA in Film Production or Cinematography. I've always been insane about film/television, so Sherlock isn't only my favorite show purely because of the massive amounts of homoeroticism, but also for the cinematography (I had visual orgasms when I watched the first episode, not even kidding) and the brilliant writing (and the acting, obviously, but I think I don't need to point that out ;D).
I'm a pretty hardcore fangirl, so I will react very strongly to almost everything regarding my favorite show/ship, and I might inadvertently offend some people with my unfiltered opinion. So if I say anything that is remotely stupid or insensitive, please remember that it's my initial response (so I'm saying things for the sake of saying them without really thinking it though). So far I haven't done anything of the sort, thank goodness, but I can't speak for my future actions. I will make this clear though: I do not believe in such a thing as "friendship shipping" when it comes to two characters who are already canonically stated as friends. I think it's complete bullshit. We all know Sherlock and John are friends, why in pluperfect hell would you ship them as friends? It's like someone shipping your bff and you as friends, I cannot stress the absolute pointlessness of such a thing. But if you were to "friendship ship" two characters who are enemies, like Draco/Harry, for example, it's perfectly reasonable (and I'm sure you can see why). Again, please remember, this is my opinion, and you are more than welcome to disagree with me. However, unless you're able to give me a solid reason as to why "friendship shipping" two best friends is at all plausible, please, do not bother arguing with me.
Anyway, I've noticed that I've friended quite a handful of brilliant fic writers! I hope the huge fic I'm working on will be as great of a read as the ones you guys have written :D
I now leave you with the gayest twirling scene of the decade.
