Cry me a fucking river, Huddy fans. I cannot believe some of you would stoop so low to go and attack Doris Egan on twitter. Really, because she made a "joke" out of your ship? When you claim that the show betrayed your interests? HONESTLY?
THIS is exactly how it should be between House/Cuddy. The Huddy relationship can never go beyond what has been presented ever since season 1, 2 and maybe 3. Cuddy has said it, "no one can ever have a personal relationship with you, House." Indeed, no one can. Wilson has a personal relationship with House merely because he's House's best friend, and it's a lot easier for them to go beyond friendship and onto something else than having Cuddy be with him. House and Cuddy can still have the chemistry that they used to have, the chemistry EVERYONE used to love, Cuddy can still be hardcore and flirt with House, and they can still be shippable without having everyone hate it so. Why not? Nothing else will make them as good as they were back when they had UST. Making them have sex or have a canon relationship is downright absurd, because no one can approach House without getting hurt. Wilson has gotten immune to House's poison, but that doesn't mean he hasn't been torn down before. We see him torn during Vogler, Tritter, even during Amber's death. It isn't easy for anyone to be with House. Someone who wants House to change for them, or have House be a loving man is asking for him to get off of vicodin or simply be all sunshine and puppies-- impossible. Wilson doesn't want House to change, he doesn't want House off the vicodin (although he does suggest House not take that many) and House still hurts him from time to time. Who has the willpower to stay by House like that? I'm sure no one is willing after he hurts them that many times. But Wilson stayed, he had his doubts, he did try to leave House, but in the end, the two of them are just destined to be miserable together.
I think that this episode was amazing. It was a very good episode, and gives a very nice finale touch to it all. Huddy needs to go back to what it should be, the usual flirting and banter that backbone!Cuddy and House used to have, and Cameron can occasionally go to House and talk to him (just so the Hamerons would stfu) and House/Wilson could still have that bromance they always had. A few House/Wilson shippers are complaining that this episode was boring, which I think would be if you're expecting House to admit his gay love to Wilson and then have them make out in Wilson's office. Trust me, I want that to happen too but that doesn't get in my way of deciding whether or not this episode is considered good or bad. The POTW was very interesting, House and Cameron were cute in a father and daughter way, Cameron and Chase were adorable too, Taub is LOVE, and Cuddy is finally back. Backbone!Cuddy makes Lisa Edelstein a lot more attractive, don't you think? Lastly, House and Wilson were the usual, yes, the usual. We tend to forget that House/Wilson are the best when they are just being themselves. There are times where House/Wilson never see each other for days and they seem to talk to each other as though they're just normal friends when they're best friends. House going to Wilson for every little thing is what House does, and Wilson being there to listen and bounce ideas off of is what I love about the two of them.
House MD is not Grey's Anatomy. House, unlike the doctors in GA, will not fuck everyone. While Cuddy is not a fucking slut and sleep with House based purely because ~*they belong together*~ a professional relationship is possible, you know? Just because you don't get to see it on screen doesn't mean it didn't happen. Fandom created fan fics/fan vids/other fandom shit for a reason, go read them, or write/make them, and sit your fucking ass down.
Go and ship your ship, and I'll ship mine.
