When other people talk about raising kids, all you ever hear is the same old shit, the first christmas, the first steps, the first words, all that crap. That's all anyone ever talks about and you get sick to death of it.
What noone talks about is what its like to watch your kid figure out that there is a direct correlation between herself as an object in a universe full of other objects, and that these objects can interact with each other, and therefore if my bunny chew toy is over *there* and I want it, I just have to lift my arm like *this* and.... yeah.
And that's the stuff that makes you love them.
