Eek! Pink Posse! It's
that boy from Another Gay Movie! I was so looking forward to this. And Brian dancing with a scarf to bollywood music!
Oh how I wish I were a gay man and adored club music. Or, that I was a gay man and that people liked dancing to Jazz/Rock.
I swear, it's me and Muz doing our sexydancing at the back of gigs, with lots of odd looks. We will set a trend! We will! *yearns for the twenties*
Today -
Woke up 10:40, and left for school - I was to be setting up the PA system in the courtyard avec two other girls from Laurie Drivers. Unfortunately I'm a newbie and thus have no idea what hooks into what - and the two girls didn't show up. So I wandered among the people and the stalls for a while, anxiously, waiting for them to turn up, and eventually found a cute PA setting-up-boy to help.
Let me just say, NC407J89U8U9XU%#HYUH0NY7%^ to the amount of people that were there - it was crazy! I could barely move through the refectory!
Weird, weird.
Came home for more Queer as Folk essay on the events leading up to the 1917 Russian Revolution. (Fuck.)
Oh - crap! *checks beside the computer*
Wah, my ice cream is melted!
Mmmm.
... oh dear, that was messy. ^^
So, yes. Shower. Brushing of hair with difficulty. Holding head out of car window - free blowdryer! :P
Ms Baartz was pleased to see me, Mum was a bit too present, I wandered around for a bit and felt slightly socially awkward at a few moments, but talked to a few people (among them Zoe - our awesomely lovely and zany School Co-Captain - who told me that she has a penchant for cross-dressing - and that in fact her whole family does - her uncle's 50th card was him, about 20, in a frock! (minus the rock. *giggles at unsubtle insertion of quote*)
Ooh!
Look! Eee.
Memories of Alice's house - asleep on her couch, vaguely watching. Everything red. (She and her mother are OBSESSED.)
Also - memories of Chloe's party - organised by Muz - Priscilla at 5 Rose St Fitzroy - outdoor cinema that doubles as an artists' market.
Mmm. That was a fun night.
Anyway - yes. Zoe is so lovely. When I told her that I had THREE Placebo tshirts, she dropped her mouth and made a little oo shape. ^^ We talked about Brian Molko for a bit.
For house cross country (which I ran EVERY STEP of, so proud, even the evil hills) she wore a BLUE CAPE MADE OUT OF A TOWEL TO SUPPORT ANDREWS. (Her house.)
I mean, come on. It does not get cooler. XD
You know, I've decided that I'm going to sing the school song really loudly. I remember being in year 8 and watching Mel Owen sing it really loudly - all of the 7s and 8s were so shocked and sneering, but I was secretly impressed.
Except I REFUSE to sing the line "guide of our words and ways." Pff. Stupid antiquated lyrics. The woman from the 50 year reunion last year who spoke in assembly mentioned the Old school song - which was supposedly much more rowdy and un-PC. I'd like to dig it up one time, would be interesting.
And I want to start going to PIGS. (Political Interest Group - I think... that darstardly s. *strokes chin while hrming*)
And I want to learn Chess. And be in the Chess club.
But I don't want to join Greenies. Sorry! I WOULD if Mrs Downie didn't run it...
All of this is dependant on me finishing one item of hw at a time, though. I've been told that if I don't start working, they won't let me do IB any more. I just -
Damn this procrastination.
Performing was fun. I had a good time, danced a bit, smiled to myself. Smi and Jess were watching the wrong stage and yelled at me. :D
Mmm.
I guess I really SHOULD start this essay, if I have ... up to 8 hours (If I finish at 2am). D:
It's stupid, too, because the topic is fascinating.
Argh.
