It's been a while...

I always tend to look at other people's posts instead of posting my own!

Well I have too much to say and am uninspired to write much, but I will try. Since I came back from Nicaragua I've been hard at work in my Summer Quarter of my Masters In Teaching courses. Everything is really accelerated in general, and especially more so in the summer! So I've found myself trying to catch up. I've finished two classes and am now starting two more, plus I have an ASL class next week too! It just keeps going.

This year I am going to continue teaching at the junior high, continue with my grad courses as well.. I am debating on whether to continue youth ministry as well as music ministry but I really don't know. I am still waiting and thinking and praying about that one.

Next Fall I student teach and after that I am debating on whether I should do a DTS with YWAM in Ensenada, Mexico (It costs like $2900 for the lecture and $1200 for the outreach) or substitute teach for the rest of the year to save up money for Texas. Yes... I did indeed say Texas. I am hoping to get on with the Teach For America program to work in the Rio Grande Valley for two years. They defer your student loans while you are in the program, basically give you a normal teaching job, help you find a place to live and after that you get some money back towards loans too! Sounds pretty cool eh? I think so! I was looking at places to live and I am in-between McAllen and Brownsville Texas. Both have a great mix of Mexican and "American" culture, which means I get to celebrate both holidays! Yay!

Even if I don't get into Teach For America I think that I want to just take a step and move down there. I am always up for Adventure.... I know one thing, I want to learn more spanish though. I think I am going to buy that Pimsluer Spanish thing at Barnes and Noble and see how much I can pick up. It's nothing like living somewhere for a while, but it might help. If I can get pretty fluent and practice writing I might be able to go for an ESL endorsement or something so I can teach Bilingual classes! That's my dream really.... that and maybe living in a foriegn country or marrying a guy who is bilingual as well, or wouldn't mind becoming bilingual. I'll probably end up being trilingual... English, ASL and Spanish. I would love to learn as many languages as possible.. I hate having that language barrier with people! But it's all in due time I guess.... At least my parents totally support me moving all the way to Texas... that was pretty darn suprising! I guess they figure it's better than living in a foriegn country, this way they don't have to go through customs to visit me. haha.... My mom is totally against me living abroad or marrying someone from another country. It's weird. She's like... if he is of a different nationality and living in the US, I approve, but if he's not a citizen then well I don't know. (Or some words like that!) It's so weird how people can be!

Well I have Math methods and creative writing, we'll see how things go.
