My "Stephenie Meyer's The Host" dream cast.
Ok, finally, after something like 5 month, i read The Host my brother gave me for my birthday ... in one week. And I have come to the conclusion that I love this book. It's so much more mature and darker than the Twilight series, which is already dark. I had a little trouble getting into this universe but one time I suceed, I could not detach myself. As for Jared, Stephenie has a way to make us fall in love with her heroes.
So, like every time I read a book, I can not help the caster characters, here's the dream cast that I see if this book was never filmed. And i've decided to change my layout - but not the leading guys on it -. It's one of my favorite ship from Terminator : the Sarah Connor Chronicles and when i was reading The Host, I don't know why but it was there. Melanie and Jared were Summer and Brian.

Summer Glau as
MELANIE STRYDER
Why Summer ? It's pretty obvious if you have watch any of her work. From the mentally instable from Firefly to the killing machine of T:TSCC, Summer is the perfect representation of Melanie. And the version inhabited by Wanda. Sometimes, strong and ready to do anything in order to protect the ones she loves. And at other times, sweet, tender and fragile, seeming to break at the slightest breeze of wind.
Brian Austin Green as
JARED HOWE
Ok, I know that most of the people imagine Jensen Ackles in his place. And he would also be perfect. But for my part, I would love that Jared is represented by Brian. He went so far from the Beverly Hills' David. And for those who have followed T:TSCC, who have discovered Derek Reese, Brian is the answer. The last free human, the most resourceful. The one who has a smile that wan melt the ice cap. He seems to have lost everything. Well, there's no doubt Brian would be the perfect Jared. Don't you agree ?
Henry Cavill as
IAN O'SHEA
Henry is strong, has an imposing stature. I will not anoy him a any time. He seems perfectly capable of being violent and not to be pushed around. But at the same time, there is something sensitive. We have the feeling that behind his big blue eyes hides more than a physical not only pleasant but also imposing.
Elizabeth Harnois as
WANDERER
To be honest, I have never seen one single movie of Elizabeth. So everything I know about her is her face. And she seems an angel. All sweetness and tenderness. I can not imagine a more perfect representation for Wanda.
Skandar Keynes as
JAMIE STRYDER
As for Elizabeth, I've never seen a movie of Skandar. And I had some troubles to find the young Jamie. I think Skandar wwill be ok. He could play the annoying child with his strong mind. And the child who have grown too fast.

UNCLE JEB
I think it's pretty obvious why him and no one else. He can be a broken man, a strong survivor an in the same time a joker with a a particular humor. I WANT HIM IN JEB !!

Yeah, i know. Sean already played a doctor in Firefly and Serenity. And oh amazing ! He played with Summer. What a coincidence ! I'm sorry from my lack of imagination but i can't see an another desperate and broken Doc if it's not him.
Thandie Newton as
THE SEEKER
I love Thandie's work. And I know that most of her character are less disturbing (except in The chronicles of Riddick). She is more often the victim than the executioner. But when I represent the Seeker, it was always her. The closed face. The hair tight. The cold stare. She can cause you chills in the back middle of August.

KYLE O'SHEA
The bull. The Terminator next gen. The sociopath. He's impressive. At first sight, he seems to have no feeling, only muscles. But deep in him, there are a broken human. A human who lost the girl he loved and always love.
Mila Kunis as
SUNNY
Ok, we only see a glimpse of her in the book. But i cast her anyway. Mila would be a great Sunny. Full of joy, shy sometimes, sweet, she's the perfect little girl. A very strange pair with Kyle. A perfect pair.
