I may touch on stuff I mentioned already...picked up a TV Guide the other day. One of those "new season" ones.
11:09 AM 9/20/07 · For some reason there are no new shows, or any real special mention, for Saturday nights...weird. Anyway, in no particular order:
- Heroes starts on the 24th at 9pm on NBC.
- Bionic Woman starts on the 26th at 9pm on NBC.
- Journey Man, two words apparently, starts on the 24th at 10pm on NBC.
- Life, which if yu've hot neard is an interesting cop show where the main character was unjustly imprisoned and awarded a 10 million dollar settlement when he was cleared and he's a cop *GASP* again but uses his money as much for himself as to solve the case that *GASP* sent him to jail, starts on the 26th at 10pm on NBC.
- There's apparently a series on Showtime called Weeds that kicked off it's new season on the 17th. It comes on at 10pm and now features Mary·Kate Olsen as one of it's new characters.
- Chuck starts on the 24th at 8pm on NBC. Don't know much about it but it seems to be kind of a Joe Average sucked into a super spy world comedy type feel to it.
- A new season starts for Family Guy on the 23rd on FOX. For this first episode, with the full permission of George Lucas they're going to, and I quote, "beat the Sith out of Star Wars".
- Tonight at 9pm on CBS the new season of CSI kicks off. Well, not entirely. It kicks off next week but they're repeating the final episode of last season so it's just as good; new episodes starting next week!
- A new season of Survivor kicks off as well but I hate that show so look it up for yourselves.
- While not a new season, but definitely a new episode, Doctor Who crosses over with Torchwood on Scifi this week Friday at 9pm.
- If I'd been paying more attention I might caught the 1st ever episode of Back to You on FOX. It's a new comedy featuring Kelsey Grammar & Patricia Heaton. It's on Wednesdays on FOX at 8pm.
- The new season of Prison Break started this past Monday on FOX at 8pm. While I watched this series from the very beginning it kinda dwindled off my active list due to a show conflict. I prefer to catch it when it marathons...which often seems to happen on days I'm not working and have nothing to do anyway conveniently.
- A new series on PBS called The War, currently slated for 7 episodes, it's a Ken Burns tutorial on World War 2. There's no time listed but it starts on the 23rd.
- I mention K·Ville in my last post. What I didn't know then was that its based in New Orleans...which doubles my interest. 9pm on FOX. The 1st episode has already been shown.
- Bones & House kick off their new season next Tuesday starting at 8pm on FOX.
- There's an interesting interview in here with Patrick Dempsey, he's come far since that pizza delivery movie from way back when, where he was surprised to learn that Grey's Anatomy apparently is shown in Saudi Arabia. New season kicks off on the 27th at 9pm on ABC.
- There's some show on the CW called Aliens In America but no details as to what that is but it comes on at 8:30pm; probably a comedy. Same timeslot on CBS there's something called The Big Bang Theory.
- A new season of Girlfriends kicks off October 1st at 9pm on the CW.
- CSI: Miami starts showing new episodes on the 24th at 10pm on CBS. Mirroring something that happened not too long ago, admittedly with some variation, on CSI: New York, Horatio discovers he has a son. Least that's the implication that's been given in all the spoilers and sneak peeks I've seen...the fact the kid's practically an adult and a murder suspect are interesting.
- Private Practice, a spinoff from Grey's Anatomy, starts on the 26th at 9pm on ABC.
- Finally, as I've been dying for new episodes, NCIS starts on the 25th at 8pm on CBS.
- Law & Order: Special Victims starts new episodes on the 25th at 10pm on NBC.
- Boston Legal will bringing insane giggle fits to me again starting on the 25th at 9:30pm on ABC. Special notation, starting after October 3rd it will be moving to a 10pm timeslot.
- Criminal Minds starts its new season, and will quickly be losing its lead cast member, on the 26th at 9pm on CBS.
- CSI: New York will be showing new episodes on the 26th at 10pm on CBS.
- A new series comes to us in Big Shots, which is being hailed as the male perspective of Sex & the City, on ABC at 10pm on the 27th.
- Smallville will be showing new episodes on the 27th at 8pm on the CW. Considering how it ended, with the introduction of an actual Bizarro, and that they'll be incorporating a storyline straight from the comics with the introduction of an actual Supergirl...I'm pumped up for this like you wouldn't believe!
- Supernatural comes back October 4th at 9pm on the CW.
- Without a Trace starts new episodes on the 27th at 10pm on CBS. Another show good for marathons.
- e.r. starts its new season on the 27th at 10pm on NBC.
- I've only ever seen a couple episodes of Ghost Whisperer which was enough to know I like it but it's annoyinglu in the same timeslot as other stuff I watch. Going to try and juggle that around a bit this time. It'll be kicking off on the 28th at 8pm on CBS.
- Las Vegas will be welcoming Tom Selleck to the cast on the 28th at 10pm on NBC.
- NUMB3RS will be welcoming Val Kilmer, at least for one episode, on the 28th at 10pm on CBS.
- Moonlight starts on the 28th at 9pm on CBS.
- Only mentioning this as the title is catchy: something called the Women's Murder Club comes on Fridays at 9pm on ABC. No idea what it is...
- Brothers & Sisters, which is really good but I hardly ever watch it, starts up new episodes on the 30th at 10pm on ABC.
- The Simpsons, which I've always found odd doesn't have an apostrophe in it, starts up its new season on thr 23rd at 8pm on FOX.
- King of the Hill, which I usually only watch repeats of but do enjoy, starts showing new episodes on the 23rd at 8:30pm on FOX.
- Desperate Housewives, also good for marathons or channel switching, starts up again on the 30th at 9m on ABC.
- I don't actually watch Cold Case but I've always intended to; starts on the 30th at 9pm on ABC.
- Just to save space: Family Guy & American Dad at 9pm on FOX on the 23rd.
- In my continued belief that James Woods can do no wrong, new episodes of Shark start on the 23rd at 10pm on CBS.
- Along with episodes I don't watch but intend to one of these days, Lost is slated to begin showing new episodes sometime in 2008 in the lovely old month of February. Along with, 24 will also be doing so sometime in January of the same year. American Idol as well but I don't much care.
- I was disappointed when I thought nip/tuck was finally done but I liked where it ended. Apparently the people behind the show didn't because it will be starting an entirely new season October 30th at 11pm on FX. This season is slated to have more sex in it than ever before.
- There's a cable channel called the Military Channel?? Well, they've got something called Weaponology on November 20th at 10pm.
- The official return of Stargate Atlantis is slated for the 28th at 10pm on Scifi. I guess they're stealing Pankiller Jane's timeslot...which is really a kind of blessing as I can't stand that show.
- The Closer is currently doing a mini·season, whatever that is, but it will be leading to a Holiday episode December 3rd at the usual time and channel; 9pm, TNT. Might wanna check listings as the mini·season may or may not be actual new episodes.
- Monk will apparently be investigating "The Man Who Shot Santa" December 7th at 9pm on USA.
...and that's all I've got. Well, I'll have a special little post regarding Heroes the day before it comes out but you'll just have to wait.
Keep in mind I largely only follow certain shows and ignore the rest...for the most part. If there's something you follow that's not mentioned here that doesn't mean there's not relevant info you should check into. I can't follow everything.
