[Since Albert is expecting several people to bring over weapons, he has decided to stay outside for awhile to make himself available. He checks over his journal as he loosens a bale of hay for his horse to eat from.

To the passerby, it would look like someone trying to read a book while doing another task without actually paying attention to what he's doing. ...Fortunately, the horse doesn't mind.]
