back in da nola.
good weekend. nice weekend.
driving home i had a few epiphanies. some good, some bad. i realized i can't escape new orleans as easy as i thought. it'd really break my heart to leave here right. at least how i feel this week. we'll see. i mean houston is great and i enjoyed my time there. the last two days though i've missed the nola and there's just something magical about this place, that no matter how bad things get, it's ok and the soul of the city never dies. i think its that soul that holds me here. it's deep but also superficial. houston has one, but it seems to be in flux, or you got to dig. i dont know, still working it.
as for another epiphany. i realized while driving back that it'd been awhile since a car problem or a ticket problem. and what happens just outside nola, where it is taken care of with ease, i get a speeding ticket. yet, of course, the guy in front of me gets off scott free. the cop says i'm going faster than i was. but whatever. at least if i pass the bar, i'll know who my first client is and what the case is. so that was my valentine's present. thank you mr. state trooper.
so anyways, happy valentines/anti valentines day to everyone. happy vagina monologues day too. hope everyone had a good one.
