If everyone who put pen to paper had such goals the average public might be coaxed into putting down the remote.=P

Writing is life--not the imitation of life. It lives because you live and every word carries the taint of your life--every word is you. We may try to change ourselves, but it's more futile than building sand barricades. Inevitably, the sand returns to its accustomed form regardless of toil. Writing styles are similarily inviolate by devault. Learn to work with your paritcular style--not against it. It is something to be cherished as an extension of you.

It's interesting how you wrote the converse of my entry while still supporting some of my points--reminds me of some of those ap pract questions heh.
