Happy Birthday wishes...
So one of my co-workers, a lead developer from Russia was laid off this week. Today is his last day and it also happens to be his birthday. What a crap huh? To cheer him on we're having a going a way lunch at the pub today, and everyone has signed two cards for him. A Goodbye card and a birthday card. For the birthday card, everyone wrote Happy Birthday on the envelope in a different language. For a minute I felt kinda left out cause English is my native language. But then I remembered that culturally and religiously I'm associated to Ethiopia. So I was really happy and excited to write "Melkam Lidet!" on the envelope! Amharic for Happy Birthday. ^_^
