Just finished watching Supernatural Season 6 episode 1.
Dean trusts Sam too much. In fact I'd go so far as to say he's deliberately not poking at all the worrying bits.
We know:
1. Sam got out of Hell.
2. Normal rules no longer apply to the supernatural baddies. Sorta like how the baddies were all going "screw the rules, it's the Apocalypse!"
3. People who should be dead, aren't.
4. Oh look, the Campbell clan are suddenly not dead!
5. Sam really doesn't give a shit about anyone who isn't family.
So:
1. Sam's out of Hell. WTF happened to Lucifer?
We know from the last ep is season 5 that Sammy can blow lightbulbs. Methinks Dean did not hallucinate the garage lightbulb flickering. How much did he actually imagine and how much was real?
2. If the normal rules don't apply, then how does cutting oneself with silver and downing salt prove, well, anything? Do Devil's traps still work? And that's just if Sam's possessed by some garden-variety demon. That stuff doesn't bother higher-ups, like, say, Lucifer. Notice that Sam reassures Dean that he is Sam, not that he is human.
Also, looks like the lambs' blood thing still works on djinn. If blood is unavailable (what the hell, Sam, why don't you have a lamb blood knife handy??) you can beat them to death with a golf club too. Suuuure.
3. There's something wrong with Grandpa. He's probably working for someone shady.
4. How do we know these random people are all Campbells?
5. Something Very Wrong With Sam (as usual). Could "just" be more hell angst. I think I'd prefer it if Sam's turned into a demon.
Fingers crossed for next week. Am hoping that Lisa and Ben actually survive and don't get splattered all over the room in fine Winchester fashion.
