yeah. con blows
yeah, so I found a computer here. And my posts-by-phone didnt show up. So...
Holy shit this bites. I know it's only Friday. But Friday at last year's con was 5 times better. There's no celebrities here yet, like no one cosplaying, and as I the ddr setup is unholy. Last year it was in one of the big ballroom type places on a big screen with a projector. Now its in a tiny hot room with a TV that's bleeding colors and the pads... good lord. 3 pads: soft, Ignition, and metal... all ranging from 1 dead arrow, to being totally dead in the water. The Ignition just plain stopped working on me. It was so so for a bit, and then in the middle of twilight zone it just quit. I kept playing for about 15 seconds with nothing but clean Boo's. The metal pad's right arrow doesnt work at all, literally. They tried fixing it to which it then wouldnt stop pushing itself for awhile, and then just totally died again. The soft pad is actually the best there is, and it's left arrow is iffy. 3 fucked up pads! I left at the point they started to break out the soft madcatz pad! OMG Fucking madcatz!? I'd rather just play DDR by controller than this shit. This so isn't worth getting all sweaty for.
In short, this sucks. Even the dealer's room blows this year. There's huge gaping spaces that are just empty. Last year it was packed with dealers and artists. The only thing I saw I want is the 8" Rikku figure, which they want $30 for and they go for $9-15 on ebay. Screw that. Dunno if I wanna come back or not tomorrow. Especially if DDR isn't any better than this. I wanted to own some scrubs, but no one can even play.
Cryssi is here, but I dunno where she is at the moment. And Paul (l33tmaster) is here too. Haven't seen him in the better part of a year. He's totally different looking and 400% more mature now.
Think Im gonna go find a salad and a beer and possibly head home if nothing better than this turns up.
