Checking out!!!
Today I started the process of checking out of my command. It seems as if my leaders are not prepared for this deployment because I have to be checked out by Tuesday of next week and I still don't have a replacement to begin my turnover with. I am starting to become a bit worried because almost 90 junior corpsmen rely on me doing my job from day to day. If I don't have a proper turnover many things could go to the wayside and these corpsmen may suffer. I however, have many other things to take care of so that I can be fully ready to take care of the Marines that will be counting on me. I have spoken with my upper chain of command and voiced all of my concerns, the ball is now in their court. I just hope for my Corpsmen's sake that they get on it quickly. Other than that it was a great day. Finally it warmed back up in SD no more freezing weather!!!!
