Carakorn Heavy Industries, Inc. chrono engineers are busy investigating ways of making contact with the late 1990s / early 2000s era. An era colloquially known as Y2K +/- 5 give or take. The time is believed to have particular import.
Unfortunately C.H.I. Is also stuck around 2003 and has been trying to tunnel its way out. It's hard to know though whether the time tunnel is going forward, backward, or parallel. Maybe all three according to one chrono engineer whom has controversial theories about such matters. The physics.
They have been trying to contact the chaos sorcerer Shaithis with limited success. They have "locked in" some of the frequencies in their Time Gate but some of the symbols have been elusive. Some believe it's because Shaithis is a moving target. Where C.H.I. Is temporarily stationary as far as they can tell, Shaithis is unstuck in time as pinballs around in his half lobotomized state only vaguely aware on his lost potential. Some thing a large part of him is stuck baking a loaf of bread in the Eternal Bakery of the Spotless Mind where he has "paid the iron price" to forget. Listen to Art Bell and get lost in the cosmos.
