Today I can finally admit that in my innermost thoughts that I was hoping for this child to be a boy. The evidence is fairly conclusive. He kept his little hand over his jewels at first, but after a moment proudly displayed his manhood. It could hardly have worked out better for us. We got exactly what we wanted, one girl and one boy very close in age. Since this is to be a scheduled c-section, Amanda is having her tubes tied. The ultrasound technician talked to us about how close her two chronologically closest children are. It now seems more real, that in about four months we will have another little trouble maker around the house. In many ways having Molly to deal with on a daily basis has overshadowed the impending birth, that and the excitement from both of us resuming a much delayed educational path. That seems only natural to me. The way the timing works out is that the new baby will be born just after finals and before the Spring semester. I had a nice cigar and am drinking some good beer in celebration.
Our school plans are finalized now. I am taking Astronomy, French I, General Psychology, and Fundamentals of Public Speaking. Amanda is taking Anatomy and Physiology I, Composition I, General Psychology, and Nutrition. A&P is the only class Amanda has to physically go to school for, while all of mine are online classes. I am still not completely clear on how online classes work. We must go to an orientation either of the first two days of classes. We have purchased the majority of our books, except that we need to return our Introductory Statistics book and purchase the ones for Fundamentals of Public Speaking and Composition I. The reality of what we are in for will be here soon enough.
