One thing I'll have to emphasize to my children is that we Rogues play by a different set of rules. Honesty is the Policy of Last Resort.
Speaking of honesty, though, I did seemingly get lucky. Last week my wallet vanished, I believe it fell from my pocket when I was sitting out front in the lobby, and failed to notice before the store opened. That morning I canceled all of my plastic, but I also was carrying my social security card. A couple of days ago, however, a bus driver turned it in to a manager claiming he found it in the men's rest room. Just over a week later. Hmmm. Everything seems to be intact, I had no cash in it but did have two gift cards, one from Wal-Mart that I use to get gas and the three cents per gallon off that hard over an hundred dollars of it. The card is still full. I'm pretty puzzled about the whole thing. The paranoiac in me thinks maybe someone wrote down my information and stole my identity, and just returned my wallet to throw me off. I figure I'll wait a couple of weeks and order a credit report, and again after a few more months.
I've been dicking around with MySpace some, and I'm just not sure I can handle it. It's like a really fat guy ate a bunch of gaudy, horribly designed web pages and then threw up. It is a friend from work who has sort of lured me toward it, but still.... ugh.
I'm fairly sure I felt the baby move for the first time the other day. Amanda's belly is growing at an amazing pace. The transformations the female body goes through to support the little growing life is nothing short of astounding.
I'm excited this Tuesday we are going out on the boat with my aunt and uncle. I'm making my homemade margaritas. I made my own sweet and sour mix last weekend, and believe me it is some kind of yummy. You just mix three cups of water with three cups of sugar and bring it to a boil, and then cool. Next you need two cups each of lemon and lime juice. It took me a dozen lemons and fourteen limes to get that much juice. Then I mix roughly one part tequila, one part triple sec, and a part to a part and an half of my sour mix. The mix is way better than the premade mix. I don't like the ultrasweetness of a lot of the margarita mix I have had. I think it is funny too how green the mix can be, when actual lime juice is hardly green at all.
Later!
