Had a pretty wild weekend! Dragged Stephen up to Jacksonville to catch the Genitorturers last Friday night... Right after we left for the show, I got a call from Gen, with a dilemma. They couldn't find their little girl shirt... So since we had only left like 10 minutes prior, I decided "Anything for Gen!", and went home and found mine. It was a Halloween type of thingy, and I didn't know til the last minute, so I put on my blue devil horns, wore my sexy business suit, and went as Satan's Secretary. Made it up there pretty late, to a fairly disappointing turnout (not sure what was up with that?) But it was still really cool to get to see everyone. Turns out that they found their shirt, but they decided to keep my black PVC tie, since it is so bad ass (can you blame them?), so Carla, the new Girl (who is hotter than holy hell) sported it at both shows. So... Technically, I have provided stage props for the last 3 shows I've been to... Go figure :)
Anyway, the club were a bunch of assholes, and started shooing everybody out, like 10 minutes after the show was over... Gen actually got into a verbal confrontation with a security guy about it, since he was trying to make us all leave. She told him I was her photographer, and some other guy was her cousin... But the guy was being a douche anyway, so we just decided that since it was so late, and we had a 2 1/2 hour drive home, we'd go ahead and say our goodbyes, and head out...
Saturday was Guavaween in Ybor - Tampa. That was a pretty kick ass event, and I still would have had a blast, even if Genitorturers hadn't performed! It was like Mardi Gras with kick ass Halloween costumes! I wore my new Lip Service Cop Dress, hehehe! We got there at like 5, to ensure good parking, and spent most of the day bar hopping, and people watching. Had Dinner in a fancy restaurant, and was so thrilled to be able to walk into a candelit restaurant wearing a Cop Dress, a Cunt necklace, fishnets, boots etc., and NOT get stared at... Our Waiter was even dressed up like Dracula. I'm tellin' ya... This is a society I want to live in EVERYDAY!! They had a Mardi Gras style parade, where they throw beads and stuff at you, so I now have a whole box full of the damn things...
Jerica and Jon made it out about halfway through the parade, so we got to dodge beads for a little longer, before making our way over to the Imperial Theater for the Genitorturers pre and after party thing. Had a blast hangin' with everyone, and watched Genitorturers give a kick ass performance in front of thousands of people. Afterward, we headed back over to Imperial Theater, and partied it up until around 3 in the morning. The HIGHLIGHT of the evening, was spotting Vinnie fucking Paul and getting to meet and hang out with him for a little bit. He was a VERY kick ass, and down to earth guy! Unfortunately, my camera is on its last legs... So the pictures didn't turn out too well. They are on my myspace though, in case anyone wants to check them out.
As for Halloween itself... Stephen and I carved pumpkins (from scratch... Yes... We are too cool to buy stencils!) And handed out candy to all whopping 11 trick-or-treaters that we got. At least that's more than twice as many as last year :)
Spent most of the week, just getting caught up with work... Plus our Husky Rescue has a huge event tomorrow that I volunteered for. We're doing our annual garage sale, but it's down near St Petersburg, so I have to leave to go down there by 6 in the morning. :( I spent last night, and will spend most of tonight clearing stuff out and getting it ready to go. I had no idea I had so much junk accumulated, and will be glad to get it out of here, and hopefully make some extra $$$$ for our Doggies!
