I just wanted to wish everyone the Happiest of Thanksgivings. My Sister, as well as Jerica and Jon, are coming over for Dinner. Even though when I *do* cook, everything usually comes out awesome, I still don't feel comfortable working with raw meat (or sticking my hand up a dead Turkey's bum), so I decided to order a pre-cooked Thanksgiving dinner, which I picked up this morning. This way, since everything is already fully cooked, I don't have to worry about giving anyone Salmonella. The turkey still has to bake for 3 hours, and I'm making corn casserole as well, but the mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce and rolls are all taken care of. They also threw in a pound of spinach dip too, so I should be all set.
Erik came over last night to help me clean. It is very strange not to be spending Thanksgiving together, and I am very depressed over it, as is he, which is why he came over last night. Ordinarily, our holidays consist of us and our families waiting until the last possible second to do something, then screaming at each other and panicking because it isn't done. So I told him he could come over and help me clean, and I could yell at him for old time's sake. Surprisingly, he said yes (although there was no yelling), and he really helped me out a lot. He is going over to a friend's house for dinner, but may stop by later on in the evening.
For some reason, Maya REALLY loves the word "Turkey". She has never had it before, that we know of, but everytime Erik would ask Maya if she wants some Turkey, or Oh boy, Maya's gonna get some Turkey! She would race around in little circles, all excited! I have such a smart and perceptive Dog.
