On Saturday, I drove down to Tampa to meet Jerica. When I got there around 12:30 or so, Jerica and another Girl were sitting on her couch. I did a double-take, and then recognized the Girl as a friend from a looooooong time ago. Talk about strange!
Jeri and Laura had partied all night prior, and had not yet been to sleep. We had plans to meet our friend Tito, who is on tour with Darkest Hour, at a club in St. Petersburg.
The 3 of us drove down to St. Pete, walked around for a little bit, and then chilled at a bar until Tito got there. We hung out for a little while, catching up and what-not, and cherishing our "Tito Time". Jason, from Pitbull Daycare, was Drum Teching for Soilwork, so we got to see him as well! Jeah Daddy!
Jerica and Laura started fading pretty quickly, so we went back to Jeri's house so they could try to take a nap, and we could pick up Jon before the show. I think Jerica got about an hour of sleep, and Laura didn't sleep at all. Somehow, we all made it through the evening though...
Had an awesome time! It's been so long since I've seen a Metal show! I definitely needed it :) I loved Darkest Hour, and thought Mnemic was pretty good too! We hung out with Tito for most of the evening, then headed out around Midnight.
Crashed at Jeri's that night, then woke up the next morning, and drove to Orlando to go to a Bird Expo. Laura needed to get to Orlando anyhow, so I gave her a ride to her Hotel. The Bird Expo was pretty awesome as usual, but I was fucking exhausted, so I loaded up on food, toys and cleaning supplies, then headed back home.
Erik and I carved our Pumpkins last night. Erik finished 2 of them before I was even halfway done with mine. There was something wrong with my Pumpkin. Instead of coming out in chunks when I was carving it, it was coming off string by string (like a fraying sweater), and no matter how much I tried to smooth it out, it kept pulling more strings out. I finally got pissed off, pushed the head off of the Alien I was carving, and threw the Son of a Bitch in the trash. LOL!
Tonight is Hanzel und Gretyl! I have a really awesome dress that I wanted to wear, but I got it 1 size too small, and even though it fits me, and still looks really cute, it is VERY tight, VERY short and is uncomfortable to wear. So I am opting for outfit two, which is still the same theme, and even though it's not as awesome, is a lot more comfortable :) Look out!
