PROGRAM USED: Adobe Photoshop CS4
NOT TRANSLATABLE

1. Open up your base image, and crop as you see fit. I used unsharp mask (filter > sharpen > unsharp mask) with the following settings: AMOUNT 50, RADIUS 8, THRESHOLD 0.
2. Duplicate this layer, set it to screen at 25%.
3. Add a new color fill layer (#d6c4ad) and set it to linear burn at 15%. Personal preference, but I erased the part of this layer not containing Dana herself to make the background lighter.
4. Duplicate your base layer and set it to soft light at 80%. I used high pass (filter > other > high pass) and played around with the settings until it appeared to give a nice glow to the image.
5. Duplicate the previous soft light layer and set it to 15%.
6. Duplicate the 15% soft light layer twice.
7. Duplicate it again, but set this one to screen at 20%.
8. Add a brightness / contrast layer at 50%. Play around with the settings; I used +6 Brightness and -6 Contrast.
9. Paste this texture on a new layer (from lilles) and erase the part of the icon not containing Dana (right part). Set it to screen at 100%. Also, the texture was rotated 90% ccw.
10. Paste this texture on a new layer (from lilles and erase the part of the icon not containing Dana (right part). Duplicate this layer and set it to linear burn 15%.
11. Add a new color fill layer (#1f1508) and set it to exclusion at 50%. Depending on your image, you may choose to set this color to a lighter or darker shade of brown.
12. Add a new color fil layer (#f1bbc4) and set it to soft light at 20%.
13. Add a vibrance layer (layer > new adjustment layer > vibrance) with the following settings: +5 Vibrance and -5 Saturation.
14. Add a new curves layer (layer > new adjustment layer > curves) with these settings.
15. Sharpen the base image, fade sharpen to 85%.
