Last weekend was a whirlwind of activity. Friday I was supposed to have dinner with Drew, but wasn't up for it. But, Saturday I went to a tennis charity match up in Delray Beach with Jeff. We had a great time. Jeff and I have gone out a few times, and I stayed over on halloween. He's a really nice guy, but just no spark. I haven't talked to him since.
Then I went to the movies with a fellow FAU employee. We'll just call him Mr. FAU. We had been emailing for a couple of days after meeting on campus. We decide to go see Paranormal Activity 2 on saturday night. I'm not sure what to make of the situation...is this guy gay or not? Is this a date or not? I figured I'd be able to answer all my questions at the movie. Nope, not a single one. Earlier this past week, he came over to watch the newest Predators. We ended that night with a hot make-out session. We spent Thursday afternoon and dinner together, which was nice. Though he said something odd, "...having a "friend" would be nice..." Again, not sure what that mean. Today we're off to see another movie. I decided I'm just going to go with the flow on this one and continue having fun. Who the fuck cares if we're dating or if we're just FWB. It's fun either way. :)
I started a juice detox regime ("fast"). I started yesterday morning. I had a decent breakfast blend. Had a horrible lunch blend that almost made me vomit. Then at 3 pm, even though I wasn't really that hungry, I found myself at Five Guys. I just was craving it. Then I got a milkshake. lol Oops. So far this morning I had an excellent morning blend. I found a tasty sounding recipe for lunch. I might actually eat a sensible dinner if Mr. FAU and I decide to incorporate that into tonight's activities. I figured my body has gone through hell these past few years: Not only am I a chemist that has probably accumulated some pretty toxic crap in my body, but the past two years in Reno my fitness and nutrition regime went straight to hell. I'm not exaggerating on this either: For two years all I ate was fast food, processed food, pizza delivery, and once in a while I had a vegetable. lol My diet here in FL has only been a mild improvement. I figure I'll try a 5-7 day juice fast, and then jump start a more nutritious diet of unprocessed foods along with a juice regime. My body's been screaming at me for a while now to do something about this. Once I have my diet under control, I'm going to incorporate a cardiovascular and fitness routine, though I doubt it'll be as intensive as the one I used to do in DC. But, we'll see how it goes.
One more week till NC. I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to going to Wilkesboro. I actually look forward to hanging out with my family. LOL As a grad student, I felt I could afford no attention to familial matters. Now I guess I can concentrate more on the important things in life. I guess this is what most people do: Go to college for four years, focus on a job and marriage, then start a family. The difference it just took me until now to get out of the college phase. :)
I'm hungry. :)
